Teeth Cleaning
Scaling and polishing, then an exam. It’s the easiest way back if it has been a while.
If you’re looking for a dentist near La Mirada, CA, our Whittier office is about 5.5 miles away and cares for adults and children under one roof. We handle your routine visits and keep an eye on the fillings and crowns you already have.

Keeping existing dental work healthy is a big part of general dentistry, and our team covers each piece of it: cleanings by a registered dental hygienist with over 25 years in the dental field, root canal care from a dentist whose work centers on endodontics, and crowns made by our own dental technicians.
Because those skills sit in one office, a cracked filling found at your checkup doesn’t turn into a referral and a new set of forms.

Our regular patients tend to mention the people by name, from the hygienist who cleans their teeth to the front desk team who greets them.

Patients from La Mirada travel about 5.5 miles to our office in Whittier. It’s our only location, so your cleanings, fillings and crowns are all handled by one team that gets to know your mouth over the years.
Plenty of La Mirada adults arrive with fillings, crowns or root canals from years past, often done by a dentist they no longer see. Regular exams are where we check that work and find decay under it before it becomes a bigger repair. Their kids can be seen the same afternoon.
We’ve been a general dentist in Whittier since 2003, and our Spanish-speaking team members are glad to go over your care in Spanish if you prefer.
Most visits from La Mirada start with a cleaning and an exam. These are the services that most often follow.
Scaling and polishing, then an exam. It’s the easiest way back if it has been a while.
Gums that bleed or have started to pull back need more than a polish. If disease has set in, we tell you the stage and plan care around it.
A new cavity, or decay around an older filling, can often be repaired with a filling when found early.
When decay or a crack reaches the pulp in the center of a tooth, a root canal can let you keep it.
A crown covers a tooth weakened by a large filling, a crack or a root canal. One with decay at its edge may need replacing.
If a tooth can’t be saved, an implant is one way to replace it, starting with a free implant consultation. When your own tooth can still be repaired, we recommend that first.
None of these mean you need major treatment. Each is something we check for at a routine exam at our dental office near La Mirada.
Older fillings can wear down, chip or pull away at the edges, letting decay start underneath, often without pain.
Blood in the sink after brushing is often an early sign of gum disease, which is simpler to manage the earlier we find it.
If your bite feels different or floss snags on the edge of a crown, the crown or the tooth under it may need a closer look.
Kids get cavities too, often between back teeth where a toothbrush misses. A child’s filling can happen at the same office as a parent’s checkup.
Our intraoral cameras take close-up pictures of your teeth and put them on a screen by the chair. You can see the chipped edge of an old filling or the dark line at the base of a crown for yourself, not just hear about it.
Digital scanners record your teeth when a crown is needed, and cone-beam CT, or CBCT, gives a 3D view when a root needs a closer look.

We accept all PPO dental plans, including Delta Dental, Anthem Blue Cross, UnitedHealthcare and Ameritas. Our team checks your benefits before you come in, tells you upfront what your plan is expected to pay and files the claim after your visit.
If treatment such as a filling, crown or root canal leaves a balance, CareCredit, Cherry, low initial payments and monthly payment plans can spread it out.
