Dr. Babak Aaron Paz, DDS, FICOI

Dental Surgeon & Implantology Specialist

Dr. Paz has worked as a dental surgeon and implantology specialist since 2003. His work centers on dental implants: full-arch rehabilitation, guided CT-driven full-mouth rehabilitation and same-day fixed dentures.

He also teaches. He owns and runs Implantology Seminars, which has trained doctors in implant placement since 2006, and serves as a clinical director for a dental implant company.

Dr. Zadmehr is our orthodontist. She uses conservative treatment methods and straightens teeth for children, teens and adults with braces and Invisalign clear aligners.

Outside the office, she volunteers with Give Kids A Smile and UCLA Health Chase Child Life.

Dr. Kamrani focuses on endodontic care, including root canal treatment, and has treated more than 5,000 root canal cases.

Lourdes Rodriguez, RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) · Spanish-Speaking

Lourdes is a Spanish-speaking registered dental hygienist at Atlantic Dental & Orthodontics with more than 25 years of experience in the dental field. Originally from El Salvador, she completed dental school and practiced dentistry in her home country before moving to the United States in 2000. She continued her education and professional development in the U.S., earning her Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license and completing clinical rotations at UCLA and VA hospitals.

Lourdes is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable during cleanings and gum care. Through attentive care and practical patient education, she helps patients maintain their oral health and prevent future dental problems. Her greatest professional satisfaction comes from seeing patients achieve healthy smiles.

Who are the dentists at Atlantic Dental & Orthodontics?

Dr. Babak Aaron Paz, DDS, FICOI, and Dr. Alfred Tamir, both dental surgeons and implantology specialists; Dr. Sara Zadmehr, a board-certified orthodontist; and Dr. Samir Kamrani, DDS, who focuses on root canal treatment. Lourdes Rodriguez, RDH, is our dental hygienist.

Do the doctors handle dental emergencies themselves?

Yes. Dr. Paz and Dr. Tamir treat emergencies in-house, same day when possible, including oral surgery, wisdom teeth and root canals, with no referrals to outside specialists. Call (562) 696-5544.

Yes. Members of our team, including our hygienist Lourdes, speak English and Spanish.

How soon can I see one of your dentists?

New patients can typically be seen within one week, and emergency patients can typically be seen the same day.
